Dont let those family mementos collect mildew in the basement or garage.
Act now before they start to smell funny!Check out this beautifully shadow boxed cottage sign. First we selected a weathered wooden frame, the same colour and texture as the object, second a very dark blue was chosen for the matting. (Black would have been just a bit too stark.) As a finishing touch, a plate detailing the date of the cottages construction, was added. An appropriate background colour and font were chosen for the text, but the plate was also mounted in a unique fashion. Rather than attaching the plate to the frame or to the matt, we adhered it to a wooden block, cut at angle, raising it close to the surface of the glass and slanting it as if it were a label in a museum display case. The result is a frame which both suits the rough edged quality of the sign and enhances it with a simple clean lines. A precious family souvenir has been given a new life!
